The Constellations and the Supergalactic Plane in 3D
Each sphere is a point located at the approximate center of each constellation, 500 million light years (Mly) from the sun. The image of the supergalactic plane in the base grid parallels the supergalactic plane, and lies 494 million light years below the actual supergalactic plane (initially visible as a thin horizontal line near the center of the video).
